One True Hero

One True Hero is an action-adventure platformer played from a third-person perspective with full 3D cartoon graphics and fantasy settings, starting off with Baron Balthazar's invasion of peaceful land to fight off peaceful villages with his army of minions. Attackers attack and burn down his house; after fleeing into the forest he finds an ancient sword called Sword of Wisdom which transforms an ordinary farmer into a hero charged with vanquishing evil forces - parodying typical epic video game stories! Genericia is an unstable kingdom where attacks and disasters happen weekly, prompting numerous adventurers to step forward as potential rescuers for everyone's well-being. Thus few take seriously our main character who eventually emerges as their one true savior; his narration includes screensavers, dialogues and text read aloud by an ironic voice-over narrator.

One True Hero takes place in a medieval city that extends underground. Players are free to walk and run in any direction they like, jump off surfaces, push boxes forward or press against surfaces as needed, climb walls and cling to certain ledges before pulling themselves up to certain summits; rotate the camera freely as they wish while often having to overcome obstacles, collect crystals or solve simple problems while in combat sections they must block enemy attacks with bladed weapons, deliver light/heavy blows using bladed weapons while collecting scale for special techniques while there may also be friendly NPCs who provide friendly chatter in such locations where monsters exist alongside friendly NPCs who provide opportunities for interaction - you might chat up while fighting monsters too if desired!
