Residual

Residual is a platformer with elements of a survival simulator. The game boasts sophisticated pixel graphics and procedural world generation. It is made in a science fiction setting. In the story, the hero crashes on one of the planets in a forgotten part of the galaxy. His task is to study alien technology and find a way to repair the starship.

Achieving the goal is hampered by hostile flora and fauna, as well as mysterious silt. In Residual, the appearance of locations depends on the position of the planet in space. If it is close to the sun, then traveling along its surface will be accompanied by intense heat, and plants will not be found so often. If the celestial body is located far from the star, then the nights will be much longer. This mechanic affects gameplay. For example: a short day will add problems, since the protagonist's suit is charged from solar energy.

Another difference of the project is the absence of the usual battles. This product is cruelty-free. The emphasis in gameplay is on exploring the area, solving puzzles and surviving. In the game you can collect food and mine minerals, light fires, create objects, find secrets and data about what happened to the ancient civilization. The character editor allows you to select the gender of the hero. He does not travel alone. He is accompanied by a sarcastic PDB drone. There is the ability to flexibly adjust the difficulty.
