Arcadian Atlas

The Arcadian Atlas tactical RPG is very similar to the Tactics Ogre and FFT series. The project is stylized as sixteen-bit hits. This is expressed in isometric pixel graphics, and in simple animations, and in cut-scenes made in the engine along with menus and dialogue inserts. The emphasis in the game is on protracted turn-based battles.

The user's squad moves between points of interest on the global map. They are essentially sequences that move the plot forward and allow for some fighting. Battles take place on compact but well-designed maps. Characters use simple attacks, special skills or items. Landscape plays an important role in the confrontation.

Arcadian Atlas has a large number of unique classes. There are: defender, knight, dragoon, shooter, thief, fencer, master of war, pharmacist and others. Each of them has skill trees. You can teach your character to attack better with a bow or concentrate on crossbows. Classes subsequently develop into stronger analogues, and it is possible to choose further specialization.

The project contains humorous references to modern video games. For example, among the townspeople you can accidentally meet Booker DeWitt from the latest Bioshock. The local plot tells of strife in a fantasy Middle Ages where people and anthropomorphic animals live. The user will be faced with love affairs, betrayals, personal tragedies, the dark past of the heroes and sudden turns.
