update details
Not For Broadcast takes gamers to an alternative 1980s. A loud political scandal happens in this world, and radicals come to power. The user plays as a simple cleaner at a local TV channel. One day the guy is forced to transfer the duties of an editor. The hero will have to sit behind the control panel and work live. The game has professional Russian voice acting.
Not For Broadcast positions itself as a propaganda simulator. The title offers to work on evening newscasts. The gamer needs to switch cameras, monitor audio tracks and video streams, “beep” obscene words, launch advertising blocks on time, and check the news report. All these responsibilities must be performed in real time and simultaneously. There is no pause. In parallel with this process, it is worth listening to conversations in order to understand the lore. From time to time, force majeure events will arise, such as suddenly broken buttons. After each completion of a pass, the player is given a rating, from which penalties for the slightest mistakes are deducted. As you progress, devices will become available that will make the everyday life of a television worker easier.
The story campaign lasts several working days. The story, full of satire on politics and replete with British humor, is non-linear. It develops not only in the studio, but also during breaks between work. The decisions made by the user influence the course of the story. You can accidentally or intentionally show on TV a speech that is prohibited from broadcasting, setting up journalists. The project stands out for its visuals. Pre-recorded videos with real people (actors) are used. There is an opportunity to watch each filmed episode (as it would look on TV), separately familiarize yourself with the comical advertising and watch the reactions of the presenters.
