Open Roads' protagonist Tess Devine has always had an unstable relationship with her mother. But one autumn they come upon an unlikely discovery in their house - bundles of old notes and letters which hint that something terrible may lie within. Perhaps hidden therein lies ancient family secrets or deeds belonging to previous residents... or treasure hidden near Canada border!

Opal and Tess set off on an unforgettable journey together, unaware that they will uncover something much darker than expected.
