6souls chronicles Jackie and Butch as they investigate the Clifford family. After traveling to an abandoned family castle where all members once vanished without trace, there awaits many surprises for our heroes in its dark dungeons and towers.

As they investigate, Jack and Butch uncover shocking details, meeting inhabitants of castles who recount tales about Clifford Estate and family. Penetrate further into castle and reveal its mysteries while gradually progressing in investigation; initially exploring outside house while fighting various opponents inside courtyard of Clifford estate.

Once they gain entrance to the mansion, their mission begins: venturing underground dungeons for further discovery of an evil plot that threatens them all. Jack uses melee weapons against various skeletons and evil spirits while Butch helps find hidden objects while maintaining communication with his master. Gameplay takes place across two dimensions in sidescroller mode where two characters must work together: Jack fighting off various foes with melee attacks while Butch searches out hidden treasure.
