Civil War: 1861 is a turn-based strategy game set during the American Civil War. Take part in large scale battles fought between Union and Confederate armies and lead your troops from both sides into conflict zones like Big Bethel or Wilson's Creek, feeling all its brutality unfold before you. One special aspect of this project are its battles which replicate historical clashes from this century ranging from Big Bethel to Wilson's Creek with real commanders that you control on both sides!
Three distinct campaigns are included here, each one lasting its own time period:
- (Boonville, Carthage and Blackburn Ford are for opening shots and four are conflaguration missions;
- 4 (Bull Run, Wilson's Creek Carnifex Ferry Lexington are conflaguations campaigns.);
- 4 total resolve campaigns include Greenbrier River Belmont Allegheny Mountain Dranceville
Before beginning the game, choose from three difficulty levels and become acquainted with an assortment of units - two types of infantry with muskets, artillery, generals, dismounted and mounted cavalry units and seven missions of training mode will provide an introduction to events. Once familiarized with basic components of project development and its basic principles, learn to develop plans in your head that lead troops directly or create devious maneuvers around enemies to attack weak points more strategically - becoming a military leader can change history! Feel like an effective military commander while shaping a nation!
