Ostranauts

Ostranauts is an indie role-playing simulator of life in zero gravity in a noir ship located in outer space. The game only supports single-player exploration of the universe, and does not have any voice acting; information is presented in the form of text in subtitles or notes. The main character is a character that is created and customized by the gamer personally in order to achieve uniqueness. Also, before the start of the passage, the initial ship is configured, subject to further improvement after collecting the necessary resources. Each installed part may wear out over time and then require replacement.

Crew members have an important role in the gameplay, because they always help the protagonist. Allies have psychological and physical needs, therefore, to ensure a healthy microclimate in the team, it is necessary to monitor their desires. Indicators for each personality include: food, water, temperature on board, oxygen supply, privacy, safety, intimacy and respect.

The gameplay takes place in real time with the ability to stop thanks to the “pause” function. You can also use acceleration, which will turn itself off at some important point where intervention is required. Gamers will sometimes need a break, because they have to keep track of the huge number of mechanics presented in the game: finances, food supplies, team relationships, security and much more. The player must maintain each sphere at the level, because the colony on the space station will go downhill.
