Borderlands 2

Borderlands 2 is an action shooter from a first person perspective with leveling up abilities and passive improvements similar to role-playing adventures, creating a direct continuation of its predecessor storyline. Key differences from its predecessor are more emphasis placed on plot-driven aspects as well as an advanced weapon editor offering various customisation possibilities which open up as you play through.

Weapons produced at different manufacturing plants fall into several distinct types:

• Distance weapons feature less recoil and have burst firing modes;
• Tedior weapons do not possess additional horns - instead of being reloaded manually to fire, Tedior models should be thrown like grenades at enemy enemies to explode them.
• Hyperion, the antagonist's company, stands out with an increase in accuracy as shooting progresses.
• Maliwan offers special elemental debuffs - freezing or poison - against enemies to slow their advance and provide advantages against attack by hostiles.
• Finally, Vladov stands as the fastest firing weapon with fast shots per minute!
• Torrg has slow flight speeds but explosive properties.
• Jacobs causes huge damage but only has limited ammo reserves available for firing;
• Bandit boasts capacious magazines but takes long reload times.

Before beginning their Borderlands 2 campaign, gamers select one of six characters with different backgrounds and capabilities for leveling branch progression and characteristics - without being tied to specific weapons as in previous incarnations - each having unique weapons available and no restrictions placed upon choosing which type to equip with them. Quest assignments come via non-player characters controlled by artificial intelligence as well as message boards; upon completing quests rewards include guns, experience points or rare metal currency called Eridium that serves as reward in this world.

At the core of the plot are several characters from the initial installment in this series; such as Claptrap the robot or Handsome Jack as its primary adversary - Handsome Jack being one such antagonist and being his target on planet Pandora for destruction by our protagonist, whom their primary goal must be overthrowing their dictatorial regime.
