The Donnerwald Experiment

The Donnerwald Experiment follows Joanna as she ventures through nightmares. Formerly an accomplished engineer, three years ago Joanna lost the ability to invent devices - rendering new device creation difficult or even impossible for her. One night while asleep she saw Montgomery with an orange mole hat who told her the Dream Demon had infected Joanna with Mare Noctem disease which has sapped away all creative spark in her. Together they embark on an expedition through dreams to defeat this villain and heal Joanna before it turns her into monster form; nonlinear yet with many forks throughout.

The Donnerwald Experiment is a Japanese role-playing game distinguished from others of its genre by offering side view battles without changing camera angle during battles - providing turn-based yet reaction based battles at their core. This indie project employs both 2D and 3D graphics; all characters feature pixelsated and flat figures. As players progress through, inspiration becomes available; this can then be used to open modules which help build combat robots or train domesticated animals such as cats or dogs; in addition, adventurers may join your team and establish spiritual bonds between each character you recruit into your squad.
