A Legionary's Life

A Legionary's Life is an interactive life simulator of Roman legionnaire. Players begin as 16-year-old teenager who first take up arms for battle; gradually grow in knowledge over time to become centurions with vast battle experience. It combines text RPG elements and bagel elements for optimal gameplay experience with constant stat checking capabilities to provide players an engaging game experience.

Gameplay involves reading information and making decisions based on it. First, the gamer creates their character by assigning points for physical strength, agility, endurance, physique, coordination charisma intelligence or knowledge based on strengths such as strength agility endurance physique coordination charisma intelligence or knowledge. Next step would be trying to join Roman Legion during Second Punic War where there will be opportunities to collect builds.

A Legionary's Life consists of 11 chapters. These chapters can be split up into peaceful and military episodes; during peaceful episodes the protagonist purchases new equipment, upgrades his characteristics, skills, and sometimes completes quests; time is often wasted through these activities consuming resource: time. Meanwhile in battle he fights and encounters events which allow you to pick up useful loot.

Battles here are turn-based. When exchanging blows with an enemy, many variables must be considered when trading blows: morality to terrain type; in case of death you must start all over again but your experience accumulated from previous passages will help create stronger warriors; the campaign itself is linear but its system of consequences adds variety to its progress.
