Thermonuclear

Thermonuclear is an independent project and the name of its protagonist robot in it, the character you will play as in it. Set against an atmospheric sci-fi backdrop with 2D pixel art graphics, action unfolds in an alternate future where World War III broke out due to a megacorp's reinstating of an illegal project to develop artificial intelligence known as Allfather; to counter his enemy, an advanced high-tech cyborg named Thermonuclear was constructed. His goal: destroy Allfather to end his conflict while carrying out missions at four global locations each randomly; scenes feature dialogues and large character sprites similar to visual novels as you journey across time and space!

Project Thermonuclear is a hybrid between turn-based tactics and simplified roguelikes. You control one unit that utilizes terrain features and abilities against outnumbered enemies; such as sliding across ice, exploding barrels, pushing opponents off an edge into an abyss or setting grass fire to extinguish your fighter. There are four skill types plus artifacts, scars and consumables which all combine and can be combined when building builds; enemies include robots soldiers mutants while arenas fit within one screen while mechanical warriors can be upgraded as you progress further - eventually unlocking even more skills or goodies!
