NOX: Chapter 1

NOX: Chapter 1 can be best described as an action/adventure hybrid with elements of fantasy and horror, combined with stealth elements for maximum player suspense. Utilizing first person view 3D technology and inspired by artist Maurits Cornelis Escher's visual aesthetic - NOX stands apart from similar titles with its visual style which stands out. This video game asks players to explore non-Euclidean spaces while dodging monsters and solving logic-based riddles within an unconventional dream school setting. Doors serve as portals, while its curved rooms and corridors alter gravity to change gravity levels. In this indie game, there are several jump scares caused by monsters appearing and frightening not only the player but also her main character; she may even die of fear!

KNOX: Chapter 1 marks the initial installment in an episodic series and follows Gabi on her adventures, who faces significant difficulties. We learn as the story progresses that Gabi also suffers from sleep paralysis and nightmares - one night becoming trapped inside one after being pulled back out again! Later in this short tale we discover some sources for Gabi's psychological problems; drawings featuring this girl provide more clues. Overall it may take up to an hour-and-a-half hour for viewers to finish watching its entirety. The opening episode itself may only last an hour-half an hour when complete!
