Overboard!

Detective Overboard! is an interactive text adventure set in June 1935 aboard the SS Hook ship eight hours out of New York, when murder occurs aboard. However, due to changes made by its creators during gameplay: you play as the killer who must not investigate but instead avoid punishment from authorities.

Gameplay Overboard! is distinguished by its nonlinearity. As you must communicate with passengers, undergo interrogations, engage in blackmailing, espionage, cheating at cards, lying, making friends, stealing and killing to cover up crimes committed on board your ship, every effort must be made to conceal your activities; eliminating evidence, diverting suspicion away from yourself etc must all be accomplished to remain undetected; cunning and charisma are required as every decision made has repercussions that must be carefully considered before taking actions that affect everything that follows after!

Think strategically and plan steps ahead, yet act freely there is complete freedom of action here: you can go wherever and do whatever you please, some characters supporting and others suspicion-inducing; this game features several possible endings so as to experience every piece of its content; there are only 8 hours left before punishment strikes; will it be possible for time-stalling?
