Clunky Hero

Clunky Hero follows Rufus, an awkward yet hilarious-looking fellow living with Brunhilda. The game follows their adventures until one day the villain captured Brunhilda and turned her into an example of stereotypical social media girls fond of doing duckface. A peasant then put a bucket on his head along with some supplies such as broomstick and went on an attempt at rescue missions to free her.

Clunky Hero can be considered a metroidvania, consisting of two-dimensional side-scrolling action platformer with semi-open world elements and RPG elements, set against medieval buildings full of animated stone heads, drunken bees, and bearded hipsters; plus there are various jokes and references to memes scattered about. Clunky Hero stands as an indie project. The game also contains RPG elements. Connected locations can be freely explored using the map as your guide, with regular encounters to unreachable zones requiring you to gain new abilities such as jumping higher or scaling walls as your journey continues. Coins found during exploration provide useful items from merchants that increase character stats or give character bonuses; your warrior also keeps an inventory to store all that he discovers while shops in villages allow for interaction and quest taking from local residents.
