Dead Age 2: The Zombie Survival RPG is a party role-playing game with survival elements, featuring turn-based battles, management and tactical mechanics. The sequel's plot relates to nothing in particular from its predecessor; events take place 10 years post-Zombie Attack; Jake and his group managed to reach Freedom City where an antidote for plague is supposed to be produced; instead factional warfare broke out here among military, Smugglers, Independents and civilians instead of providing relief.

Dead Age 2's combat system has undergone significant modifications and, as the developers themselves explain, is an amalgam of Final Fantasy X and Darkest Dungeon. Heroes in Dead Age 2 alternate between using melee weapons and ranged ones when attacking, having access to over 25 skills at their disposal and their faction reputation can increase for trade access with certain NPCs or settlements - giving players control of an entire base!

Build your base from the ground up, assigning duties among its residents. Craft various weapons and armor using resources collected on-location while upgrading crafting skills can produce higher-quality items. With more than 80 settlements and points of interest across an open world map to visit - plus nonlinear plot points leading to multiple endings depending on decisions taken - playstyle can have direct ramifications on environment while directly impacting moral decisions made while working in concert together to lead you toward one of 6 available endings; permadeath makes gameplay possible if heroes dies before continuing his adventure is ever returned from.
