Dreamscaper is about a girl's struggle with her nightmares. During the day, Cassidy walks around the city, meeting new people and discovering her abilities. And at night he fights monsters in his dreams. The heroine needs to fight with the leaders who personify her psychological problems.

Every dream in Dreamscaper is a procedurally generated dungeon. The game has 4 bosses, 13 types of enemies and 44 of their variations, as well as a huge number of items and quite a few weapons. Communication with non-scripts plays an important role. Characters reveal lore, advance the plot, and unlock passive skills. You can give them gifts to improve your relationship. Gifts should be chosen according to the preferences of a particular person. This improves the acquired skills. Skills are chosen before the heroine goes to bed.

Fights in this roguelike take place in real time inside rooms. Movement between them occurs through portals. The girl protagonist can use magic and plant bombs, as well as engage in melee and ranged combat (cannons require ammo). She is also able to dodge attacks with 7 types of dash. From time to time, action moments are mixed with puzzles. Solving puzzles rewards you with loot. You can also craft, buy and improve things. However, only gifts are allowed to be created. The resources necessary for this are obtained in a dream.
