A Plague Tale: Innocence is a dark action adventure game set during Europe's darkest hour - during the Hundred Years' War and Black Death. Set in France during 1349, players must navigate streets filled with corpses from plague victims as their burning bodies fill the air around them.
At the center of these events are Hugo and Amicia do Rune - siblings living under an oppressive regime who until recently rarely saw her sick brother; now however the Inquisition has set its sights on Hugo; leaving only Amicia no choice but to flee together from its reach - only they don't realise it yet... Amid all their dangers lies something far more deadly...
Bright lights and fire are essential companions in this challenging adventure as only these can scare away hordes of rats that have invaded plague-stricken streets to feast upon everything in sight; up to 5000 rats may even appear! Since she lacks brute strength, she must use cunning and ingenuity instead, sneaking through creepy cemeteries before heading into Inquisition-controlled dungeons where unimaginable atrocities take place - creating tension for player as the chilling story unravels before their very eyes!
Main gameplay in Stealth Mode revolves around stealth; however, occasionally weapons in the form of slingshots will need to be deployed against your enemies to stun or disorient them, knock down certain objects which throw their balance off balance, or unleash an army of vicious rats upon them. Furthermore, your character (girl). can utilize various projectile weapons. Over time, she will learn the fundamentals of alchemy that will allow her to upgrade her equipment and progress further through the game. You must solve puzzles built around interactions among characters but sometimes acting independently as you progress further into it. A Plague Tale: Innocence will amaze anyone who sees European museums and temples with interiors dating from the 14th century adorned by visual styles from that era. Travel back through time as you guide children out of Holy See as darkness descends onto them during an extremely bloodthirsty plague period in European history.
