FrightDiary is a multiplayer hybrid of first-person adventure and 3D platformer with horror elements. The ability to play alone is also available. In multiplayer, users can save comrades who have lost all their health. Before the start of the race, you can select your character (there are 4 in total), choose a map and adjust the difficulty of the levels. The stages resemble mazes. You can find hints in them, which greatly facilitate the passage. Gamers can communicate with each other via text chat. In network mode, one of the participants becomes a server. If he suddenly leaves the game, the match will be reset. Players are allowed to run, jump, interact with the environment, turn flashlights on and off, use torches, collect, store and use items (limited inventory space), fight, and so on.

The story in the Fear Diary project is about a group of adventurers. In the story, they accidentally find an open ancient tomb. Curiosity takes precedence over the instinct of self-preservation, and therefore the heroes go inside. The adventurers soon regret their decision. They need to find a way to get out of the creepy corridors and try not to die. At locations, the main danger is represented by various traps and guardians. This is the name given to the revived mummified guards who are trying to kill uninvited guests. In this video game you need to run away from monsters, explore rooms, loot chests, and solve puzzles. There are jump scares in an indie title.
