The gameplay of Decision: Red Daze combines the RPG genre with survival and tower defense elements. The player finds himself in an apocalyptic wasteland, where he can build shelters and assemble a team of skilled characters. The wards move across a vast territory and encounter infected creatures that have turned into monsters due to the disease. The virus has spread throughout the planet, but hope for salvation rests with the main characters.

The isometric action game offers non-linear progression. The plot takes place in a gradually collapsing world. The infection is transmitted through the air and quickly reached all continents. The disease, called the "Dust Bowl", turns people into mutants, aggressive against other forms of life. Current events have an impact on subsequent millennia. Countries and governments also began to wage war and armed conflicts among themselves to gain territory and more resources.

The user will take control of a squad of survivors who will need to explore a large location, find other people and gradually rebuild society. On the way they will encounter zombies, mutants and formidable bosses. Numerous strategic options are presented, offering the construction of a base, the deployment of troops in different areas, the extraction of resources and the use of different weapons. By capturing human settlements, the gamer will find new materials and items. Every night the number of enemies increases significantly, and they also begin to attack human bases and shelters.
