Flippin Cactus

Flippin Kaktus follows the adventures of a cactus. This plant mysteriously came to life and began to resemble a person. One family found him in the agave fields and took him in. One day, the village where they all lived together was attacked by Calaveras raiders and destroyed everything. After this, the surviving hero set out to take revenge on an entire drug cartel.

The plot is presented in comic book form and develops between battles. The campaign consists of 11 large locations, which are divided into several smaller stages. Flippin Kaktus is a side-scrolling comedy action platformer inspired by Latin American culture. It also contains elements of stealth. The indie project uses pixel graphics.

The protagonist knows how to hide in the bushes, move boxes and hide behind them. In addition, he can shoot his needles at enemies, run and jump, and dash forward. The cactus dies from one hit. In case of death, the character is reborn at the beginning of the level or near control points similar to hydrants. Game progress is saved at the same checkpoints. Depending on their type, opponents prefer melee or ranged combat. You can use the environment against enemies. For example: luring enemies into quicksand. Under certain circumstances, the prickly avenger can fly into a rage. Then he receives additional armor, which helps him survive several enemy attacks.
