Cry of Fear

The horror addon Cry of Fear was created for the first Half-Life game. There are quite a few references to Silent Hill here: the similarity of several locations and a couple of monsters. Here, fear constantly keeps you in suspense, and the accidental discovery of any weapon or ammunition is considered lucky. There are 5 endings, which will be formed based on the player's choice.

A simple guy named Simon gets home. It's dark outside and he's wearing a hood. Then he gets on the subway, where he dozes for several stops and gets off on his own. Suddenly the hero notices a strange man who was literally crawling on the ground. As he moves closer to help, the character is blinded by the headlights of a car speeding straight towards him. The user is enveloped in darkness, and in his hands is a camera, clicking which you can see parts of the inscriptions ahead. Crosses, bloody inscriptions, hanging corpses and the terrible face of a monster...

The hero falls to the ground from fainting and comes to his senses in a narrow street. A knife in his hands and a phone with a flashlight should help him at first in the battle with the enemy. The protagonist heads to a strange city, with small streets, large gloomy houses and bicycles in every yard. In one of these buildings, the boy will be locked and face his fears. The enemies living in this city are half-human and half-animal. Among them in the Scream of Terror there are creatures like dogs with hammers, there are even ones with a long tongue, like a frog, that can kill. There are girls from the bell in white robes, in the company of whom you just want to kill yourself. Most enemies are capable of simply fighting, but there are also those who shoot and even throw different things.

In the process, the character will add a shotgun, a sniper, a pistol and an M-16, but ammo is limited. There will also be your own inventory with a small number of slots. Here it is important to choose everything you need, for example, keys, first aid kits with morphine. The game also has bosses waiting for their prey - those wielding a chainsaw or those that you yourself need to dismember in order to find the key. Along the way, you will often have to go through similar quests in search of objects.
