Orcs Must Die! 3 introduces new main characters. According to the plot, 20 years have passed since the second part. The sorceress and the battle mage were able to restore order, after which they began training students. The gameplay is similar to that of previous titles in the series. The character sets deadly traps (their arsenal has increased, and the combinations have changed), after which he rushes around the location and fights waves of orcs, ogres and other creatures. The setting combines fantasy and steampunk. That's why there is magic, guns, mechanisms.

After completing the 18-mission campaign, another mini-campaign opens. It has 5 stages. They can be completed at different difficulty levels. The game has global leveling. After completing the cards, the gamer receives skulls. They are spent on gaining access to new defensive structures and their improvements. The survival mode "Knockout" has been added. In it, the adversaries gradually become more powerful, and modifiers are added to the gameplay. You can also participate in daily challenges. In Orcs Must Die! 3 has single and online co-op.

The developers have changed the balance and changed the prices of items. Money is now given not for killing each enemy, but for destroying their waves. The creators introduced lasers and removed flying opponents. They also changed the shooting mechanics. All firearms now deal increased damage when hitting an enemy in the head. Bosses and full-fledged battles with them appeared. In addition, combat vehicles were added in the threequel.
