Super Lone Survivor

Super Lone Survivor is a re-release of the award-winning indie horror game released nearly 10 years after its original version, moving over to Unity as an improved version. However, this should not be seen as a remake; graphics remain identical with retro styled pixels being preserved intact in retro mode. Due to engine changes, smoother screen scrolling with parallax effect was enabled, 64-bit support added, as well as a revised 4 vs 3 mode and gamepad compatibility introduced - plus, achievements were introduced! There are now 5 unique endings to the plot and new content has been introduced that can be seen during the second half of the game; much of it optional and featuring never-before-seen monsters, riddles, locations and weapon upgrades; in addition, there has also been some expansion on its soundtrack and after finishing story for first time opens NG+ mode.

Super Lone Survivor echoes the Silent Hill video games in 2D format; specifically, its protagonist lives in an apartment and must flee an infected city by wearing an antiviral mask to stay healthy and avoid becoming an infection risk. "[He] wanders aimlessly through corridors, other people's homes and other buildings searching for food, pills, ammunition and useful things like weapons." Sometimes fighting monsters or dodging their attacks through stealth becomes necessary; sometimes solving puzzles; occasionally encountering strange characters whom he chats with; not only must this young man battle hunger but he must also constantly check in with himself to monitor both physical hunger as well as his mental well-being in relation to events unfolding before him - sometimes doubting their reality altogether!
