Inner Ashes

The premise of Inner Ashes , a first-person adventure novel that tells the touching story of a father and daughter, is for the player to imagine being able to enter the mind of an Alzheimer's patient and watch his memories fade and become distorted. It tells the touching story of an estranged father and daughter.

You play as Henry, a man suffering from Alzheimer's disease and having trouble remembering his past and present. You embark on a journey of self-discovery through two different realities: the real world, where you live with your daughter Enid, and the dream world, where your mind creates surreal islands that reflect different aspects of your condition.

In the dream world, you'll have to solve puzzles and explore the environment to unlock your memories and discover why you and Enid grew apart. You'll find scrapbooks that help you identify items and remember how to use them, as well as tangram puzzles that stimulate your memory and reveal important scenes from your life with Enid. In the real world, you will experience the daily challenges of living with Alzheimer's disease and how it affects your relationship with your daughter. You'll also learn more about the techniques that are used to help Alzheimer's patients manage their symptoms. Inner Ashes is a game that aims to raise awareness and compassion for Alzheimer's disease and its impact on individuals and their families.
