HROT

HROT is a first-person shooter that serves as a true ode to the shooters of the late 90s and early 00s. Immerse yourself in retro gameplay, the authentic atmosphere of which is achieved through angular 3D graphics and old-school mechanics. The story takes place in 1986 in a socialist country bordering Czechoslovakia, part of the Soviet Union.

An unknown disaster occurs, which is not spoken about directly. However, after this incident, dark and terrible times followed. In an atmosphere of fear and despair, you have to go through the tragic story of HROTH. The plot begins in the subway. The initial task is to put on your non-functioning gas mask, load your trusty vz.52 and go to the defense of socialism. On your way, kill all the enemies of your country.

Immerse yourself in retro action that will make you go old school! Everything about the game has a nostalgic feel to it, from the controls to the drab brown aesthetic. The hammer and sickle are used as melee weapons. Firearms include a vz.13 SMG shotgun, a rocket launcher and experimental Soviet batteries that fire ball lightning.

All levels are handcrafted and inspired by real-life places. The authors of HROT relied on historical accuracy, while allowing players to find themselves in the world of alternative history. The locations are represented by a variety of socialist paraphernalia, which you can find in your grandparents' closet. Also in the game you can flush toilets and break light bulbs!
