Dungeons of Aether

Dungeons of Aether is a turn-based roguelike. Its setting combines fantasy and steampunk. The project boasts detailed pixel art with smooth animation. The game takes place in the same universe as the fighting game Rivals of Aether. The campaign invites you to travel through the Julesvale Mines, Crystal Wastes, Fire Caves, Underground Osasis and reveal the secrets of these locations. The plot tells about the adventure of a team of 4 creatures. In between visits to dungeons, you can return to the city, where you can chat with NPCs, buy useful items, learn more information about the lore and prepare for your next forays underground. In addition to the story, there is a mode called Dungeons, where maps are randomly generated and the goal of the races is to get a good place on the leaderboard. Local combat is based on dice rolls and randomness. The combat system forces you to adapt to randomness.

The Dungeons of Aether video game gives you the opportunity to play as the following characters:

• Artemis is a female general of the Fire Mora, armed with a halberd and able to regenerate, carrying out a secret mission on the orders of Emperor Loxodon himself;
• Flint is a poised but annoying archer who has proclaimed herself the protector of the steampunk settlement of Julesvalesk;
• Hamir is a former Guardian of the Force, holding a hammer in each hand, who specializes in protection and is trying to start a new life after the death of his partner;
• Slade is a cutlass-wielding pirate who relies on speed and evasion, searching for a rare and mysterious mineral to save his homeland of the Polekai Islands.
