update details
Hydrophobia: Prophecy is an action adventure game with elements of survival horror, using cyberpunk as a style. An interesting feature will be the HydroEngine engine; it can render water and its dynamics as realistically as possible to create an ideal model of the interaction of the liquid with the objects surrounding it. The game takes place in the near future, in the mid-21st century, on board the Queen of the World, a futuristic cruise ship the size of some cities. The ship was built by the Five Founding Fathers, corporations with monopolies in many markets. Because of this, everyone present on the ship is called the elite. They relax and have fun until chaos occurs on Earth due to overpopulation and running out of resources and food.
The game starts with a terrorist attack by the “Neo-Malthusians” on the liner. Their goal is simple and clear - to get rid of a huge part of humanity for the survival of the rest. Their slogan is “Save the world - kill yourself.” The protagonist will be Kate Wilson, a systems engineer on the ship. When the ship's compartments began to fill with water, the main character tries to survive and resists the terrorists as best she can. Water plays a serious role in the gameplay; its presence or absence in a certain location can play an important role in the passage. Sometimes it will be necessary to return to cabins that were previously absorbed by liquid. The levels are replete with non-linearity, and each gamer can decide how to act in a given situation independently.
