No Umbrellas Allowed is a second-hand store simulation game with a mysterious premise attached to the plot. A terrible explosion occurred at a research institute, most of the files were destroyed, and the player finds himself in the role of an employee of this organization who survived the incident. He comes to his senses at night on the beach, somehow getting out of the water. There is a trail of blood behind him - the man is wounded and weak. Old man Darcy saves him for some of his own purposes. So that no one could recognize the former scientist, his face was redrawn by a surgeon, and the hero himself conveniently lost his memory. Now the newly-made “son” of an elderly second-hand store owner helps him manage the store, bargaining with customers, learning to estimate the true value of an item, attracting new customers, and mastering the techniques of market speculation.

The basis of the gameplay of No Umbrellas Allowed is to buy cheaper, give more expensive, but it is advisable not to overdo it with the price, otherwise you can reduce the reputation of the enterprise. The clientele has a wide range of interests, which should be taken into account when offering a product. History buffs will love the antiques, and art collectors will find it easy to sell a painting. To decorate the interior, you can visit your neighbor’s pavilion and buy flowers from the green-haired lady. Each flower has a name and a special ability - a kind of bait for visitors. Broken items can be repaired in a nearby workshop - in short, communicating with NPCs is, at a minimum, good for business. If you're lucky, the character will learn the details of the tragedy at the research institute and influence the future of the city.
