Sandbox 171 stands out among other GTA clones by featuring its surroundings: taking place in Brazil with creators providing an exciting ride through Sao Paulo suburbs where poverty, narrow streets, graffiti-laden walls and dirt provide unique flavoring for its environment.

Player characters are controlled from a third-person viewpoint. While shooting on the street, camera angles follow hero shoulders for optimal shooting positions. While sitting in your car you can open fire without leaning out and out shooting is possible from any position without leaving cabin walls exposed to fire from within cabin walls.

171 allows its players to steal any car. There are workshops where upgrades and repainting services can be purchased; upgrades will then appear visually on vehicles during an accident; while realistic crumpled car physics ensure a realistic experience during crashes as law enforcement, bandits, and ordinary passerby all react in different ways when chaos ensues in 171.

This game's interface is intentionally simple. Users are shown a minimap, police wanted level (ranging from one to five stars), health bar, type of weapon being carried and type of chase occurring during chases; during which chases cop patrols will mark on the map including one large one; available barrels include pistol, rifle and fist weapons (not hidden away in an invisible inventory); weapons will simply hang from their back - similar to real life heroes! Clothing stores exist here too but only as simple hero skin editors which turn on at buildings once per battle scenario - providing real world experience when playing out this type of adventure game!
