update details
Wildermyth is a role-playing game with procedurally generated levels, where the player creates his own story through a moral choice system that carries various consequences for the world. The gameplay of Wildermit is that you need to assemble a group of five heroes, consisting of farmers, parasites and peasants, making them legendary knights and brave heroes.
Battles take place in interactive arenas with a wide variety of fantasy creatures. The gameplay is inspired by board games and is tied to the individual characteristics of each team member. Characters grow old, transform, fall in love, and make difficult decisions. Depending on the chosen path, the characters will have different relationships with each other: friendship, sympathy or enmity. Each character has their own arc and biography.
Events take place in the Papercraft kingdom of The Yondering Lands, inhabited by insect dragons and Lovecraftian undead. The appearance of the heroes will change as the story progresses. For example, by trusting the wolf god, a number of unique abilities will appear that give incredible powers and some buffs that affect the character’s appearance. Wildermyth encourages tactical decisions and using the environment to your advantage.
The game has three unique classes: Warrior, Hunter and Mystic. Each type of hero works better at different distances: the warrior is good with melee weapons, the hunter is controlled with long-range weapons, and the mystic is the equivalent of the local magician. He can inhabit an object and cause enormous damage to the enemy. The global map is divided into several areas that must be protected from monsters. After the area is captured, it is necessary to strengthen its defense by building barricades or various traps. A special feature of the gameplay is the “Death” mechanic. It provides a choice between self-sacrifice, but killing the monster, or losing a limb, but continuing to fight. This feature is only available once per game.
