The new planet should have everything to provide people with a comfortable, peaceful existence. Factorio is a sandbox in 2D graphics, where a new planet must be fully equipped for the future life of people. As soon as we arrive in a new place, we need to extract resources, assemble elements from them, and build structures so that people in the future can settle in and exist peacefully. Don't forget that the planet reacts aggressively to colonizers.

The free game mode - also known as the story mode - invites you to use the character for your needs. It moves freely around the map, the size of which you regulate in advance. The planet being explored is rich in natural resources - water, vegetation, minerals and construction resources, but to do this you need to get to them using special equipment, which does not appear immediately.

You can mine with your hands, or you can use special equipment. In the future, one way or another, you will have to install mining facilities, and additional processing stations to them. The game itself will let you know that the time has come to install new processing stations, when your character will not be able to do everything at once, in the sense of processing products. In Factorio you have to create processing chains, record the results and constantly modernize your processes.
 

• Build functional buildings that can recycle resources;
• Create routes for delivering these materials to the base;
• Don't forget about the arthropods that are trying to destroy your production by polluting the planet. Their attacks must be repelled with the help of stone walls, turrets and mines. You can destroy their lair using tanks, heavy artillery and other weapons.

The short story tells that we are an astronaut who crashed on this planet. It’s good that he is a specialist in the field of engineering and is capable of creating an exoskeleton, power lines, an oil refinery... Can he handle it? You can play in cooperative mode, as well as create maps and scenarios in the editor.
