HELLCARD

HELLCARD is made in the same style as the original Book of Demons. They also have a common universe. The first game was a simplified diabloid and was about the fight against evil that had awakened in the catacombs under the city. The spin-off changed genre, turning from hack and slash into a turn-based card RPG. One of the features in the form of cardboard graphics has not gone away. The roguelike elements remain.

Now it is not just one character who descends into the dungeon, but a group of adventurers. HELLCARD is designed for cooperative playthrough, but you can also exterminate evil spirits solo. Single-player fans have been given the opportunity to take AI-led companions into their team. Users will encounter familiar enemies - spiders, skeletons, ghosts, demons. Many opponents, like the aesthetic itself, again parody the Diablo universe.

You can still play as a warrior, archer and mage. Their passive and active skills are implemented in the form of cards. The use of spells and skills is limited to 3 mana points per turn. Different cards have different values, and only 5 are dropped from the deck at a time. Their number can be increased using traditional CCG mechanics.

Buffs are applied to all allies at once. During the battle, adventurers stand back to back and shower approaching enemies with colorful projectiles in a kind of arena. The blows destroy opponents or send them flying backwards. In battles you can use useful items, such as heals. The atmosphere has not undergone significant changes, since most of the sounds and music have been carried over into the sequel.
