Maya Star

The magical world of Maya Star was shrouded in ancient evil, getting rid of which seemed an impossible task. But old legends said that calling a hero from another universe could solve this problem and bring order to the dying lands. In the role of the savior - the girl Maya - the player will have to explore various locations inhabited by evil monsters, in an attempt to free the human race from the oppression of demons.

The gameplay of Maya Star is made in the best traditions of classic Metroidvania. The environment is made in a 2D style, painted in purple shades. But the characters, monsters, environments and decorative elements are drawn in detail. The heroine has in her arsenal a sword that can cut small enemies into pieces, as well as fireballs that allow you to attack enemies from afar or from behind cover. There will be many enemies along the way, as well as various bosses with a large health bar and unique attack combinations.

Maya has 6 lives at each new location; if you lose them all in battle, you will have to start the level again. Fireballs are also not endless; you will have to find a supply for them by destroying opponents and random blocks of the environment. Exploreable areas have multiple "floors" to move around, so by moving left and right, you can jump to the upper levels and fall to the lower areas. The musical arrangement is made in the classic 8-bit style.
