City of Beats

The atmosphere of cyberpunk in City of Beats is conveyed through the stylistic design of the city of the future in which the main character finds himself. Users will be immersed in a top-down rhythmic action shooter with roguelike elements. You have to go explore the City of Beats, in which you have to listen to musical compositions and make shots on the required beats. The main task for the user is to create synchronized shooting in order to be able to successfully complete the level. There are only androids and robots left in the world that obey the evil AI Zeitgeber, which wants to impose its own rhythm.

A user in City of Bits has to:

• Navigate in a space where every action depends on music. Weapons, enemies, hazards, traps and movement are completely synced to the music, creating dynamic puzzle challenges for players.
• Anticipate enemy attacks, trigger explosive mechanisms, and apply special skills to create combined super attacks.
• Master the rhythm patterns of songs to dance on the tops of skyscrapers and destroy enemy robots.
• Immerse yourself in endless research expeditions across procedurally generated maps, which introduce randomness and replayability to the project.
• Select different assemblies and builds for the character, changing damage modifiers, strengthening shields, adding fancy mutators, etc.
• Bargain and buy new equipment with the money the hero earns while completing tasks.
