update details
At Throne of Lies: Medieval Politics, players must recruit allies while eliminating those seeking his destruction - traitors who seek his demise. The game offers 3D deductive multiplayer online play allowing gamers to enter an intricate world where deception and betrayal reign supreme and survival depends on accurate calculations between opponents. Developers were inspired by both medieval political intrigues as well as popular board games Werewolf and Mafia when creating this strategy game.
The Throne of Lies can be defined by several key features:
- One key characteristic is psychological manipulation - where users use this tactic to twist opponents' words and direct their dialogue towards other participants in a process and ultimately force them into silence.
- Recruitment into Your Alliance - To recruit players into an alliance, one needs to force other players either into changing faction or class or simply switch sides, whereupon he may receive new abilities from their enemy side.
- System of Aristocracy and Kingship - Each country is led by its king; his identity remains well known to everyone else, while any faction to which their leader belongs might remain hidden to everyone else. Should one king die unexpectedly or die through other means, you have an opportunity to step into his position by killing it off yourself.
- Weapons, aura and equipment available to gamers determine how effectively they execute against calculated adversaries.
Involving 16 living participants, this party action includes 16 living users. They each get assigned to one faction or class with no further information available to others about who belongs where. What's known for certain though, are that amongst them are traitors who will attempt to kill players during this journey. Goal of this strategy game: Use every available method to identify supporters and eliminate remaining ones. There are 100 abilities, 35 character classes and four alliances in total with day/night gameplay periods being divided up accordingly. At night, enemies are killed off while those remaining investigate crimes and seek evidence that can pinpoint who the villains are. By day, positive heroes use that evidence against someone and make accusations of treason; once enough votes have been collected against a criminal they execute him/her while negative characters try to dilute suspicion about said accused party by employing various tricks to divert suspicion away from themselves.
