Project Pastorate

Project Pastorate, developed by Russian developers, stands out in terms of atmosphere and setting. Inspired by post-Soviet colors, its landscape contains postmodern architectural reminiscences as well as post-Soviet color themes reminiscent of postwar Soviet culture; moreover there's even a card minigame and attentiveness puzzles that reveal its lore! Fights and puzzles are optional here, the action taking place in a world in which the Apocalypse took place in 999 and is usually blamed on Sylvester II who made a deal with Satan which resulted in most humanity perish. Few remain living on an island dictatorship known as The League, which is led by their Pastor and church, with Righteous playing an essential role in maintaining order - looking like an odd mix between KGB/FSB representatives and church inquisitors; you will play as one.

PP has an episodic structure. Since this first episode is only half complete and doesn't reveal all answers yet, setting up for more to come later, the main plot may remain incomplete; however, its existing miniplot remains completed and nonlinear with multiple endings available to explore further. This prologue takes approximately three hours to finish and follows Leonard as he is assigned with determining who killed the provincial prefect, along with Vinny as his partner in investigation. Local criminals (accompanied by prison slang), corrupt officials and uncovering any conspiracy involving government are just some of the challenges they will need to face on this journey. Sometimes heroes need to fight and this takes place step-by-step with maps being used; you can choose not to participate if desired.
