Ultimate Protector

Ultimate Protector blends action, roguelike, and tower defense elements together into an indie title featuring 2D pixel art graphics with an attractive top-down view (with camera tilt). Players choose one of ten characters available; these differ by name, appearance and initial weapons they begin out with. Their actions against their enemies is independent from player control - you only use WASD keys on keyboard for movement purposes while selecting items or power-ups during leveling up. Every fighter has 6 slots for weapons as well as 6 for artifacts which change projectile types or increase damage or enter synergies when increasing levels by experience collected gems dropped by monsters during battle - collecting gems dropped during gameplay to level up at faster.

Ultimate Defender draws inspiration from Vampire Survivors, an indie videogame which nearly created its own subgenre of Roguelike games. Ultimate Defender differs from Vampire Survivors by adding Tower Defense elements - something Vampire Survivors did not. While in the original the player could freely roam across the map, in this version he must stay close to one point and protect a statue of goddess in the middle of this area from enemies from all directions; she is under constant attack from her foes; moving further away may help gain experience points by defeating mobs that attack it from all directions. As his idol has limited safety margin, the protagonist must continually return. One notable feature is the system for evolving your arsenal: you can not only craft superweapons but also transform them into hyperweapons; meta progression works similarly. After races have concluded, any collected gold can be spent purchasing and upgrading various passive skills for all fighters such as increasing movement speed permanently.
