Between the Stars

Within Between the Stars, a space simulator game, players explore new territories while fighting numerous adversaries and upgrading their ship in an effort to save Interstellar Republic from destruction. With procedurally generated environments, enemies, and stations.

A universe is under siege from attacks by the Children of the Sun clan, with enemy representatives from different planets trying to gain entry and capture these spaces. In order to complete his mission, our protagonist must explore his galaxy while passing several difficult tests - decisions will need to be made that affect not only him personally but his spaceship crew as a whole as well.

Constant upgrades must be made to the spacecraft in order for it to withstand battle against enemies, including gathering additional weapons to strengthen its defenses and survive any battles with them. As rewards, achievements are gained when purchasing air transport - each spaceship differing in control style, equipment capabilities and crew options available - crew can even be fired or new employees hired as needed; when starting up the gamer must select from various wards offering various abilities, combat skills, appearance options and abilities for playback.

As they complete numerous tasks, our hero will gain the chance to defeat his main foe - The Children of the Sun. Shootouts here are intense; no sitting back and waiting! Maneuverability is key when fighting starships with energy shields like starships do - hitting or damaging one will result in damage being inflicted upon it and thus damaging its integrity as a ship itself can result. During battle it pays dividends to maneuver so enemy bullets miss their target area instead.
