Spiritfall

Spiritfall is an action platformer with roguelike elements, featuring an innovative combat system. Your objective will be to beat enemies, chop everything in your path, and throw your foes against walls while they try to attack. At each stage's end lies an encounter against an epic boss battle; also in Spiritfall you have access to special abilities as well as melee weapon arsenal for melee attacks; some elements even randomly generate.

At the outset of Spiritfall, its protagonist receives a gift from spirits in form of special abilities to aid his battle against gods. These abilities allow Spiritfall access to an arsenal of skills. Experimentation must take place as you select different combinations of combat abilities to determine battle tactics - death is part of this hard-core gameplay mechanic; Heroes who perish are revived at Sanctuary hubs where upgrades to skills or equipment may take place and collected resources can be utilized in upgrading them further or purchasing additional upgrades for items at different locations locations where resources must be purchased prior.

Special amulets allow you to fortify both your hero and weapon as you progress, meeting various characters who offer additional quests if completed successfully, which then open access to additional abilities and capabilities within their sanctuary.
