IMAGO: Beyond the Nightmares

IMAGO: Beyond the Nightmares follows Marty Burton and Arthur, his beloved doll. Marty was previously employed as a detective but now experiences hallucinations and mental problems, being able to transfer consciousness between sleep and reality via mental projection. One day this hero returns to work when an oil magnate hires his bloodhound as part of an investigation on an oil magnate nephew going missing and an environmental disaster on Quiet Island that this same rich person may be responsible for; there they find their trail crossed by mysterious figures with links back into his past past that lead them back.

IMAGO: Beyond Nightmares is an indie project that blends adventure with psychological thriller and survival horror elements in a first-person view game, divided into two phases for player experiences. One requires you to wander the real world with a flashlight in hand, conducting investigations and collecting evidence while searching for documents hidden away somewhere - sometimes using weapons as needed - while in another you must survive in a fictional dimension by either fleeing from or dodging monsters as you solve puzzles. Each type of enemy necessitates its own approach; puzzles rely heavily on logic. A doll helps players decode riddles by sharing observations and giving tips, while in the video game they can walk, run, sneak crawl shoot interact with the environment collect and use objects collected in this journey.
