Shattered Union

Shattered Union allows players to experience an imagined military conflict within the United States. According to its plot, civil war erupted and states became divided among various warring factions; players must select one and lead it toward victory by uniting disparate regions into a powerful new state on North America - each region can be captured for use in developing its civilization further.

Shattered Union offers three modes for playing:

• story campaign - in this mode of passage, users must fulfill numerous quests with strict conditions in order to move along; their freedom of action within this passage format may therefore be restricted;
• Single Passage - an original sandbox where players can customize any side and develop it according to their tastes, ultimately defeating all opponents;
• Multiplayer Mode (MPM) - similar to Single Passage but against real users instead of AI opponents;

All actions, such as battles, take place step-by-step; therefore it is imperative for participants to plan out their movements strategically ahead of time. Regions and the cities built within them play an essential role in gameplay - each provides boosts such as reduced cost of maintaining troops or income increases or reduced construction costs etc. If an area was simply damaged however, its boosts are reduced by 50% while total destruction removes any buffs completely.
