update details
Triple Take is a retro-style precision platformer featuring graphics created using pixel art techniques, while traditionally for this genre its camera is placed to one side and an eight-bit soundtrack from Tobias Roberts (known by Rainbowfrog) can be heard playing in the background. This indie project boasts an intuitive visual style. The images within are monochromatic while gradually transitioning through to color palette variations. Furthermore, its protagonist has a standard set of moves such as walking left/right/swim/jumping/climbing walls (but only certain walls, with special surfaces), walking diagonally forward/backward etc. Control is handled primarily using keyboard controls; there is also limited support for gamepads. Normal levels don't feature enemies - instead there are numerous traps scattered about that must be avoided, while special stages involve battles involving leaders.
Triple Take has an intricate plot. At first, nothing seems clear: our hero simply appears in a room for short training before strange things start to occur to him - simulation of crashes and glitches along with breaking fourth wall are common place; gradually more story and lore is revealed with you progressing through 50 levels, each stage consisting of 3 flag touches per level in which as soon as one flag touch has occurred the room changes; such as reduced platforms or alternative roads appearing. As more advances through each level the story and lore become apparent: an overarching humanoid with big head must traverse five worlds while fighting multiple bosses before finally entering 5 final stage 50 levels story campaign to complete three completes three times to reach flag 3x each stage within 50 levels before ending story campaign 50 levels where story unfolds and story unfolds through to its conclusion!
