Legacy 1917 transports players back to early 20th-century Russia, drawing inspiration from events that transpired under Tsarist Russia but without pretending to be historical in nature. Instead, actions take place against a backdrop of revolution during which world war broke out - two brothers have their differences with Peter being an army officer and his younger sibling joining anarchists before engaging in criminal activities - the protagonist learns of these atrocities from combat trenches back home hoping that somehow his brother can be brought back down to reality while shielding other victims from his madness as he also wishes to protect others from Peter's madness as he also wishes protect people against him being taken over by this hero hero!

Legacy 1917 is an isometric stealth game with a dark atmosphere, featuring graphics combining 2D and 3D elements. Players need to explore various locations based on real places while their enemies outmatch them both in weapon quality and power, plus in numbers. Therefore, the soldier can only avoid coming across them and fight only when absolutely necessary. He needs to locate cover in a multi-level environment while using terrain features as weapons to gain advantage against opponents, divert attention away from him while disorienting them with puzzle-solving and dialogue with NPCs whose stories add another level of depth in this indie project divided into levels.
