Steel Gear

Steel Gear is a 3D remake of Metal Gear from its inception by Hideo Kojima in 1988, taking its inspiration from its mechanics as much as possible while offering new mechanics that pay homage to old school gameplay. Steel Gear features its own hero with its own story arc while most gameplay remains true to Hideo Kojima's masterpiece while making use of modern engines to deliver this project while paying respects to old school gaming culture.

Viper, an agent from South Africa, goes to Northern Galzburg with two objectives in mind; first to find his captured comrade and secondly destroy The Steel Gear's nuclear weapons. Along his journey he encounters charismatic characters as well as learns a shocking truth about himself; his camera remains on top-down view while gameplay emphasizes stealth over open combat.
