Bloodwash

Bloodwash is an indie horror game using first-person perspective with graphics stylized to resemble videogames from fifth generation consoles. Furthermore, you have the option of activating or disabling VHS mode which applies a filter similar to old videotapes to simulate image artifacts onscreen and adds filter effects that simulate artifacts found therein. In its plotline Womb Ripper preys upon pregnant women.

Sarah is the main protagonist in Bloodwash project and lives with an alcoholic boyfriend and will become pregnant soon. One day in their apartment building, the last unoccupied washing machine broke down; through conversations with neighbors she learned of a 24-hour laundry outside the city that works 24/7 but had an uncomfortable location near nightfall; taking one last bus, Sarah arrived late that same night but met an unstable individual on board that told strange and scary tales, leading her into terrifying chain of bloody events that only gets more terrifying with each encounter she has there.

This game is strictly linear; in order to progress forward you need to locate specific items and use them in an ordered fashion in order to move forward. There are NPCs at various locations with fully voiced dialogue while your main character comments on what is occurring; gameplay itself includes an unsettling atmosphere complete with screaming characters as you can also use firearms here; one half to two hours may pass between passages.
