CORPSE FACTORY transports you into Tokyo's modern metropolis. Life of residents changes drastically after discovering an online site allowing registered users to murder anyone they choose; as soon as word spread about this new resource, strange murders began happening across Tokyo almost instantly - prompting an inquisition investigation by young detectives in search of answers. The plot centers on several young individuals starting their own detective investigations against those behind these murderous sprees.

CORPSE FACTORY's protagonists learn the details of how its scheme operates: Someone uploads to a web resource an image depicting someone they wish would die; within days the victim receives an altered version depicting her lifeless corpse with the date and exact time of clinical death, after which she dies under mysterious circumstances at precisely designated moments. But this scheme means almost nothing - the heroes still don't understand its inner workings in practice and need to uncover truth quickly before more innocent lives get hurt; things become complicated when one of our heroes receives similar images himself or herself!

As with other visual novels, this one focuses on dialogue - rather than exploration or taking other actions within its virtual environment. Tens of thousands of lines appear against an animated visual style drawn in anime style images that depict non-animated figures; there are multiple endings available and each choice made when communicating with characters will determine which path your user travels along in his or her quest to solve it all.
