Beautiful Desolation takes you on an incredible adventure set in the distant future, where Mark, one of two separated brothers, seeks his brother in an advanced society where technology can both aid and hinder its advancement. While you and he make your journey together through landscapes reminiscent of Africa - from one settlement to the next, negotiating with leaders of inhabitants, communicating with healers and warriors and moving through settlements as you negotiate agreements among cultures present, communicating between settlements as you negotiate deals between settlement leaders & healers and warriors & warriors present!

Local residents are both allies and threats; to stay successful it's essential that they support you. Be wary when crossing petrified forests or walking along dry ocean floors: be wary for attacks from nanites, robots, and huge scorpions who might appear! As you advance through each test, both you and your character must make decisions with long-term ramifications that could impact many lives for years to come. Exploring your environment provides vital clues that will aid in solving puzzles and unravelling mysteries on the path towards your goal. By playing mediator in conflicts and making new friends - along with enemies!- along the journey. Difficulties should never frighten us away as long as our quest remains the same!
