BugOut transports players into a near future of 2023 where media channels broadcast dire predictions of imminent global war, possible asteroid impacts, climate shifts and civil unrest. Amid all this negative coverage, our protagonist notices that government preparations have begun for disastrous events which he hopes are coming his way - therefore deciding to escape civilization for what could possibly be an end of world scenario - by climbing Appalachian mountains before starting his preparation in wild settings against various catastrophic scenarios that may unfold anytime randomly; his character must survive until then in order to survive this tragedy!

This 3D open world survival simulator with first person view features day/night cycles as an indie project created by just a couple of people. Players are free to explore locations by cutting trees down or harvesting mushrooms; crafting tools or weapons may also be available as resources for combatants. The protagonist carries around an inventory consisting of 30 cells that can carry 100 kilograms in weight; his backpack serves as inventory. Shoes, pants, shirt and hat may all be worn; weapons available include bows & arrows, spears axes etc of different kinds as weapons of various kinds ranging from bows & arrows through spears spear axes etc of all varieties; sleeping is necessary as is eating regularly to restore energy; while living areas near merchants provide useful items.
