Sleep Paralysis : The Uncanny Valley takes place in Barclay Valley in Canada. Thomas Chan, our protagonist, finds himself living alone while Zoe embarks on her trip, fulfilling an old desire of hers by flying to Hawaii despite Thomas Chan being terrified of air travel. One night when Thomas wakes for no known reason unable to move he suddenly discovers himself completely powerless against any physical movement whatsoever from his body - all that could be done was stare into impenetrable darkness until an ominous silhouette appears from doorway nearer still.
